2024 Idaho Dude Ranch May 14-18
No city slickers here ...
With over 25 years of retreat experience, we are proud to offer you one of the best quilting adventures available. Do not miss out on this great quilting opportunity to make new friends and create awesome memories at this Top Ten guest ranch.
This beautiful ranch is located just outside the historic town of Sandpoint and Lake Pond Oreille where you will see stunning views and breathe fresh mountain air as you revel in nature and the spirit of the true west. Each morning, grab a cup of coffee or tea and begin your day by watching the ranch hands herd 70 horses from the lower pasture into their corral ... and watch for Bobbin, the precocious filly born during our 2019 retreat.
Scrumptious farm-to-table meals are locally grown and professionally prepared, then served buffet style by the staff and ranch hands who welcome you with open hearts and arms.
We suggest you sign up early as our retreats fill quickly. To make it easy to budget, we offer an installment plan, at no extra charge, that begins January 2024. The cost is $1199 and includes your log cabin lodging, hot tubs, hiking trails, horseshoe pits, campfires, professional quilting instruction, games, farm-to-table fare, local outings and of course the class. A $75 non-refundable deposit will hold your reservation until January and will then be applied to your retreat balance.
We welcome all levels of quilting ability and promise to develop and challenge your skills.
A few weeks prior to our ranch adventure, we will have a Zoom planning meeting with all lucky participating quilters to talk about travel plans and all the details.
NOTE: you must be able to climb stairs or walk from your cabin to the lodge. Elevators are not available at this location.

Heather chose the name quiltachusetts for her blog because that's what her late husband called her sewing room. He'd casually say, "are you going to quilt-achusetts?" and it stuck.
While not a traditional quilter, Heather loves and respects the talent, time and creativity in traditional quilts. She is a modern to contemporary quilter and designer with a love for bold geometric designs.
Heather designs fabric collections for Paintbrush Studio Fabrics, has written numerous patterns and is the author of "Design Make Quilt Modern" and "Quilt Modern Curves and Bold Stripes."
Heather has had a myriad of quilts displayed at international, national and regional quilt shows. Her quilts have hung at International Quilt Festival,
Houston and Chicago, AQS Fall QuiltWeek, QuiltCon, MQX Midwest and many more. She won first place in the "Use of negative space" category for her Urban Trek quilt at QuiltCon 2018. Your time with her will surely broaden your quilt horizons.
